Weekend in Puerto Princesa and Sabang, Palawan

Discounting the dozens, literally dozens, of mosquito bites I’ve accumulated in the past three days, I’d say this weekend was definitely one for the books.   Here are some pictures of the highlights:

  1. Hello, Lauren. The photos are great……..beautiful scenery. Looks like you’re having a terrific time, except for the mosquito bites! If you don’t have anything to take the itch out, try regular household ammonia. Just dab it on the itchy spots and it stops the itch. I use a product called “After Bite” and I found out that’s what it mostly is….ammonia. Looking forward to seeing all your photos when you get home, but mostly looking forward to seeing you. Love, Susie and Charlie

  2. Hi Lauren! Looks like you’re having an amazing time. I love all the pictures. And look at you eating, and ENJOYING fish! Good for you! We all miss you! Love, Shelley and the rest of those red-neck MacLeanes

  3. Glad you’re enjoying all the fish! And my student will be happy you made it to the caves–they look amazing!

  4. Hi, Lauren ~ What beautiful pictures, and what a nice weekend trip for you. But OH! Those mosquito bites aren’t fun. We always used Campho Phonique (sp?) (comes in a small-ish green bottle) to help with the itching. It’s rare to get many mosquitoes here in Tucson – we get OTHER creatures, though, such as scorpions. (I think I’d rather have mosquitoes – ha!). Have a great week, and enjoy your days with the kids. Love, Sue & Keith

  5. Love the pics!!! What a beautiful place! glad you had a great weekend. Sorry about the mosquitoes…is the After Bite or Anti-Itch stuff we packed helping?
